We help people achieve self-reliance by building their skills and knowledge, as well as providing them access to the resources, training, assets, inputs, services and markets they need. 

Our work in this area is guided by several core principles – including protection, diversity, equity, access and sustainability. We seek to ensure that all people of concern are able to make a safe and sustainable living that meets their basic needs, contributes to their dignity and provides for the full enjoyment of human rights.

Women-lead Poultry farming in UC Hanna, Quetta:
November 10th, 2014 to April 30th, 2015

Under the project “Improving livelihood through women lead poultry farming in UC Hanna, District Quetta, Balochistan”, TKF successfully led intervention for introducing sustainable poultry-farming as a viable small business to support income generation of poor women in marginalized rural communities of Balochistan.

 
Vocational Training Program for Afghan Refugees in Quetta:

July 1st to December 31st, 2015 (1st Project)

June 10th to December 31st, 2016 (2nd Project)

In 2015 and 2016, it conducted two Vocational Training Programs funded by NRC (Norwegian Refugee Committed) for providing vocational training courses in marketable trades and provision of toolkits to over 600 male and female youths in Quetta district, Balochistan as well as training in business and entrepreneurial skills.

 
Revival of indigenous irrigation methods to improve agriculture livelihoods in District Pishin

August 15th and December 15th, 2012

In partnership with GIZ RAHA, this project was aimed at improving water availability for the people of Bagh Viala and improving their livelihood. By its completion period, the project had improved the living conditions of 2251 people of Bagh Viala, Barshore Tehsil, District Pishin by providing them with an additional source of clean water as well as facilitating the revival of agriculture incomes in the area.

Targeted Area: District Kallat Tehsil Khaliqabad, UC: Zard and Zarzai

21-23 May 2019

TKF, in partnership with OXFAM GB, is working to improve health & hygiene and water storage facility of the drought-affected 1500 households in the districts of Balochistan and is also providing livelihood support to 1950 households through the provision of fodder/feed for animals for 3 months.
